Stella to the Six

My hometown, Rochester, New York kicked out #StormStella this past week after a load of damage. Majority of the town fell victim to lost power, roofs, and sanity. Finger snaps for St. Patrick working his magic to bring us some lucky last minute weather. I took on this opportunity as an excuse to try something new.

Since #StormStella rudely interrupted our spring break, my friend Ally and I were looking to book a quick and easy get away for the short remainder of time we had left. We live in Buffalo, so obviously, we swung for the six. I booked our stay through Airbnb. As a first time user, I can assure you I will be utilizing the app again. I connected with a super chic host named Kelly. Her space is located in Leslieville, Ontario, and is nothing short of a quaint Victorian home as advertised. Not to mention, such a score to be provided with free off-street parking. As this trip was so last minute, we had zero intentions and a complete lack of an itinerary. That's where Kelly came in. Her insight and understanding of the city filled our time up with such diverse culture and good eats. So good, I decided to share with you a few must tries if you ever find yourself traveling to Toronto.

See, told you. What a steal. Kelly charges $65 per night and can accommodate up to two guests. Airbnb has formed such a warm community over the years, and it radiated from Kelly's home and hospitality. Do yourself a favor on your next trip: save yourself some money, and book with Airbnb!
