This year I'll be spending Easter here in Buffalo and I wanted to contribute something to my hosts, the Schlossers. This is a great last minute dessert that is as easy as it is festive for whatever your Easter plans may be. Although, I did cheat and used Ghirardelli's Chocolate Supreme Brownie Mix (which was on sale at Wegmans for just $1.09!)
Ingredients:

Instructions:
1. Follow the instructions right on the box to mix up and bake the brownies. Or use your own personal recipe, whichever you prefer 2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and set aside
3. While the brownies are baking, add the candy melts (which I found at Michaels, also on sale 2 bags for $3.88 with my Shopular app) and a dollop of coconut oil into a saucepan. Melt over low heat, and be sure to stir frequently
4. Dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate, and then place them on the lined cookie sheet
5. Place the chocolate dipped strawberries in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes or so, or until the chocolate is hardened
6. Eliminate the filling out of the Oreos (sigh) and break up the cookie into a bowl. I simply scooped the filling out with a spoon and crushed the existing Oreo with my hands 7. While the brownies are still warm, create a layer of crushed Oreos and allow them to sink in to the top layer of the brownies 8. Arrange your strawberries as you seem fit (if you're really skilled, you can cut the corner of the melts bag and drizzle chocolate onto the already hardened chocolate for a real carrot imitation)
9. Enjoy!
I'm absolutely terrible when it comes to baking and this was my first attempt at chocolate covered strawberries so I'm pretty impressed with how this turned out.

Happy Easter everyone!
