Cheers to graduation! Canisius College concluded spring semester this week with the wrap up of finals so obviously, a celebration was in order. Us girls turned to cocktails, finger foods, and some dessert.
Angelica Tea Room is made up of loose-leaf tea, adult beverages, and a Euro-centric atmosphere. The narrow (once nightclub purposed) space offers eclectic vibes from the collection of glassware and teacups, to the metallic wallpaper that reflects off the ceiling-surfaced antique lighting fixtures.
The prohibition-inspired beverages were as strong as they were attractive. We progressed to the menu with slight confusion due to some terminology, but we were pleased with everything that we ordered. Our table shared each of the tea sandwiches included on the menu. My personal favorite was the Pea & Prosciutto, it was a pleasant combination of meat and veggies.
We also treated ourselves to the assorted macaroon platter. The lemon and the raspberry flavored macaroons were airy, delicate, and so freakin' delicious. For those that travel to the Tea Room on an emptier stomach, they also offer more filling alternatives in the seafood and nut departments.
After three hours worth of alcohol, sandwiches, and macaroons, it was time to pay the bill. The Tea Room provided an experience with good eats and good friends. The space was welcoming, comfortable, and very affordable for a celebratory night out. I would suggest the Tea Room to anyone looking to celebrate, simply converse, or try something unique in Buffalo.
xx,
