This weeks post will highlight one week of using Glossier products, and how myself and gal pal, Adrienne, feel about the collection. Glossier is a cosmetic brand that "celebrates real girls, in real life." They strive on products that live in you rather than on you, and totally nail the "no makeup-makeup" trend. Their products are hypoallergenic, dermatologist tested, paraben free, fragrance free, and cruelty free.

Adrienne will be reviewing her recent purchases of Glossier's Cloud Paint and Haloscope:

I am a first time Glossier user. I've had my eyes on the brand for a while now, but I was never really into makeup that much to warrant spending the money on it. I finally pulled the trigger and ordered some goods (because, TREAT YOSELF). I find the break down of the products pretty basic yet helpful: skincare and makeup. I'm not much of a makeup guru and these don't require anything but the product itself and your fingers.

They do a pretty good job at providing pictures and videos of girls of different complexions (fair, medium, dark). Since we are transitioning into summer (FINALLY) I looked for girls whose skin looks similar to mine when tan. For a daily look, I go a very natural route. I'll cover up some blemishes, maybe some contouring if I feel up to it, and some mascara. In fact, I like my makeup best when it doesn't really look like I'm wearing any.

I chose Haloscope in 'Quartz.' What I love most about it is how easy it is to use. Looks and feels just like using a glue stick, I just glide it above my cheekbone and use my finger to apply some on my brow bone. My next choice was a bit of a wildcard. I went with the Cloud Paint in 'Puff.' At first I thought "WOW. This is PINK." But with time and practice of the application, I love it! I recommend starting off light as it is easy to add layers. I will definitely be trying more of their products in the future!

I will be reviewing my recent purchase of Glossier's Phase Two Set:

Myself, along with Adrienne, dig a minimal face. I rarely wear any makeup, so I decided to give Glossier a go for days when I need to tackle a blemish or brighten up the under eyes. Summer weather has finally arrived and I absolutely vibe with the airy, dewy, casual looks that come paired with it.

I purchased the Phase Two Set to save a couple bucks on my purchase. I started building my set with Glossier Generation Z in 'Like'. The lip is supposed to adapt to your pigment, and you have the option to build it up during the application. Personally, I found it sub-par. It's a nourishing chap stick for sure, but the color build up just doesn't do it for me. I then added the Stretch Concealer in 'Light.' Obsessed. The silky base offers a significant amount of coverage. It is extremely light and moisturizing. I completed my set with Boy Brow in 'Brown.' This may be the best brow gel I have ever purchased (in comparison to Anastasia and a few drug store products.) So easy to apply, and the shade matches my brow tone to a tee.

Overall, Adrienne and I will be returning customers to Glossier, and we encourage you gals to add the collection to your routine this summer!

xx,

+ Adrienne!
