I have had a pretty busy week. I graduated from college on Saturday, I moved back home to Rochester on Sunday, I signed up for a gym membership on Monday, and I accepted a job offer on Tuesday. Sheesh. My heart may be full, but my bank account most certainly is not. I am going on my third week of unemployment before I start at CGI Communications next Tuesday, but regardless, a big-girl job requires a big-girl wardrobe.
To avoid the madness of the holiday weekend and its shoppers, I took a trip out to Webster yesterday to check out some of my favorite thrift stores, Goodwill and Savers. This time around, I was far more pleased with Goodwills selection than I was with Savers. Nevertheless, I did find some unique pieces at both. When I was through with thrifting, I made a quick pit stop at TJ Maxx. I scored those adorable striped culottes (pictured below) and a few tops. After three hours of shopping, I am pleased to share that I added 19 new pieces to my closet for just $156! Here are my findings:
Okay okay I'll admit, the Birkenstocks probably don't fit within my business casual dress code, but who could pass up brand new, never worn Birks for $12.99?! Anyway, whether you're participating in MDW sales or just looking to thrift a few pieces to diversify your wardrobe, this is the weekend to do it! Happy holidays & happy shopping my friends.
xx,
