Summer Blockbusters

This week was another pretty hectic one, peeps. My sister was in town for a few days and I started training for new job which left me with very minimal free time. I passed the torch onto my gal pal Madeleine for this weeks post to share her reviews on this summers big screen pictures.

Summer has finally started to rear its warm head and the blockbusters are here as well! If you need an escape from the heat this summer, the movies are the place to be. I am here to guide you through some of the most talked about upcoming movies and to let you know which ones can wait for Redbox.

My first flick of this summer was Guardians of the Galaxy 2. If you are a Marvel fan like myself, this action packed, space adventure film did not disappoint! For all you Parks and Recs fans: what’s better than Andy Dwyer saving the galaxy with his six-pack? Actually it could be the sassy, gun-toting raccoon, and don’t even get me started on baby groot…swoon.

Sometimes it is hard to drag Briana to the movies with me, but I was able to with the promise of seeing a shirtless Dwayne “the Rock” Johnson and Zac Efron. That’s right, we caved and went to see Baywatch. I’m not going to lie, expectations were pretty low and accurate. A cheesy plot, a boring villain and some sub-par acting led to a major belly flop at the box office.
