A Genius Gem in ROC

Adrienne and I took our first class at @rocbrainery last night with Kate Meyers Emery. Kate is the manager of digital engagement at the George Eastman Museum and taught us a thing or two about "Creating and Managing Your Digital Identity." The two hour class provided us with a fun, informative night out for only fifteen bucks.

The Rochester Brainery, as the owners and operators put it, is "a community classroom and event space that allows people to connect through fun, affordable and accessible classes." You can take a class there for anywhere from $15 to $45 (and in some cases, even lower with the occasional discount they offer). Topics include: art and DIY, business and marketing, sports and fitness, food and drink, gardening and arranging, health and wellness, history and travel, language, lifestyle, music, photography and video, and theatre and improv.

As an inspiring real estate agent and an amateur blogger, Adrienne and I chose a business and marketing class to dip our feet into. The facility, which is located on Anderson Avenue, is modern and welcoming. A space we will certainly return to (especially to make use of our new punch cards!)
